Resetting the GPS module

If your GPS is still losing connection, takes ages to calibrate and sends poor quality samples, try resetting the device. First, try turning your phone on and off, and do the same with your GPS. Sometimes its helpful to reset the network connection and WiFi.


You could also try an AGPS reset. Install the App GPS Status & Toolbox app. Open the app and:

  1. Click on the menu in the top left corner > Settings > Background behaviour > Select „Use GPS, when screen is off”
  2. Click on the menu in the top left corner -> Manage A-GPS state -> Select „Reset”
  3. Cllick on the menu in the top left corner -> Manage A-GPS state -> Click on „Download”
